With the renovations and addition of over 8,900 square feet to our existing facility and the installation of a new ventilator unit, we are now able to provide our long-term and short-term residents with a comprehensive program of respiratory therapy.

With a dynamic Respiratory Staff in the building 24 hours a day, the benefits are:

• BIPAP and CPAP

• Expert Suctioning

• Piped in oxygen and suction (like hospitals)

• Pulse oximetry and ABG's (Arterial Blood Gas) monitoring

• Ventilators on standby AT ALL TIMES

• Variety of speaking valves for trachs

• Extensive experience with different types of trachs

• MBBS (modified barium swallow studies) available on site

The respiratory staff works closely with the rehabilitation department and, as appropriate, speech therapy is started and residents are trained to use communication devices.

Our program includes home training and education when a discharge date has been decided by the resident's physician.
